It was bad last night. I didn't get to sleep until almost 5am. Ugh. My mind just wouldn't quit running. That meant I was dragging pretty bad today. I still managed to walk the dog 7.8 miles, and did 15 minutes of active stretching, but it was nowhere near my workouts from last week. I have decided to just write this whole week off as recovery and will start back at the gym on Monday. Between the weather and the lack of sleep I am pretty much running on empty.

I finally got the lights replaced by Cooper's crate, so maybe I won't feel guilty locking him in next week. He was such a good pup tonight. I took him with me to the neighbor's to watch American Idol, and he snuggled under the blankets with her or laid next to me the whole time. Then I took him out for his last walk of the day. I have to get him out for a long walk tomorrow. Hopefully I can get some sleep tonight, so my day can start earlier, and I will have the time to give him that long walk before my company arrives.

Listen to your body and relax and just do something fun to change it up.

Sorry 'bout the insomnia. Still amazed you get in such long walks daily. I assume you've tried all the usual things - warm bath, white sound machine, chamomile tea or warm milk ...

I suffer from terrible insomnia as well, often seeing the sun come up--so I feel for you.

Yet you STILL took your doggy for an almost 8-mile walk!! Holy cow--go you!

Here's to getting to sleep sooner as the week goes on ...
