Slowing Down

Thursday, March 14, 2013

I have been really dedicated to losing weight this year. The first month and a half everything was going good. I was losing weight and being more active. It was really paying off and I was excited. Then things began slowing down. I kept gaining and losing the same pound. It was very frustrating, but I refused to give up! I decided I needed to change things. What? I thought I was just figuring this weight loss stuff out.
I really didn't want to lose momentum and I wanted to keep making progress. I talked to people and searched the internet of what I should do. It sounded like I was hitting a plateau but I wasn't sure because I just started in January. Surely it was too soon for a plateau. I decided I would take some advice about what to do when hitting a plateau and see if it would help. I figured changing my routine couldn't hurt. It seems to be working. The weight loss is coming slower now but at least I'm not gaining and losing the same pound now.
What I've learned is that life is always changing and we have to adapt. This goes the same for our weight loss and lifestyle. Giving up is not an option this time!

We all go through this and you have the right idea. Don't give up. It will happen if you stay committed and eat right and do the exercising. emoticon

I agree giving up in not a choice. I feel your pain. been at a stand still for a while on losing even though I am exercising and eating right most of the time.
