The Sun is Starting to Shine!

Thursday, March 14, 2013

Well, metaphorically, not literally - I live in Seattle after all!!

But I am feeling much better today. I slept better last night, my foot hasn't really bugged me today, and the anit-inflammatory didn't make the room spin this morning! ALL GOOD THINGS! I made it to the gym again - felt great! 20 min on the step mill followed by more exercises for Sparking as a Team. I'm starting to get sore from all of it!

Things are getting finalized on this possible job change... which makes me nervous! I am afraid of putting in my notice - but I kind of hope they say they don't want 2 weeks and just get out. I am really hoping this change helps us out financially though. I am just going to have to work really hard to make sure my "bonuses" are great, since they will be the majority of my pay!

This is just a quick blog today, but I have a huge favor to ask of anybody who is willing to accept. I am doing so well with not smoking - Day 6!!! If I fail to mention that I am still not smoking or fall off the face of the planet, can someone PLEASE contact me and snap me out of it?! The Spark community has helped me stay accountible in the weight loss aspect of life, now if I know people will hunt me down I am more likely to stay strong! Thank you in advance! emoticon

Oooooo - are you inviting my nagging voice again? emoticon I have only had like 2 cigarettes this year so far. It's the same as losing weight: 1) you have to truly be ready for it and 2) if you fall off of the wagon, you have to get right back on it!

I have to say, this blog sounds definitely more upbeat and positive than they have been lately. YAY!

My Dad quit smoking after smoking for over 40 years (he quit for some serious health reasons). I know it wasn't easy on him but I'm so proud of him for doing it. SO I know you can do this as well. Best of luck.
