I'm walkin', yes indeed....

Thursday, March 14, 2013

I am currently writing this from high atop my treadmill, using the TrekDesk treadmill desk that hubby ordered and I finally got put together. So far I've been walking for 45 minutes while working and Sparking. The idea isn't that it replaces a workout, but that it gets us away from hours of sedentary office work.

I'm liking it, and will be trading off with hubby so we can both get a chance to use it. I'm about to start one of my contract projects, which require a lot of time at the computer, and this will make that time feel much more productive.

My husband is all about standing whenever possible. He wants a standing desk and we are saving up to buy one. As a programmer, he spends hours sitting. To break it up he often goes to the local coffee shop and stands at the high counter to work.

How fast a pace can you maintain while walking on the treadmill? I can see myself using something like that, losing track of what I'm doing and tripping myself up. "Grace" is not my middle name.

That is so cool! I read an article about the Cleveland Clinic's chief medical officer having that in his office, it made me want one. Have a good weekend!

That is a great idea. I often come home from a great workout and find myself at the computer for hours feeling as though I have just lost that long burn I had worked up to.
