I'm declaring this a good week, even though it's only Thursday

I rode 59 commuter miles this week. I won't be riding this weekend, so my legs get a bit of a break. They deserve the rest - they're tired! The last two rides were relatively wind-free. The ride was a gift, a blessing, and a heck of a lot of fun (despite the snot rockets).

I'm fixing to head out the door for my lunch walk. I usually eat lunch in a restaurant on Thursdays, but my court session ended earlier than usual today and the person with whom I usually have lunch is unavailable. I wrestled with what to do - I'm already hungry! - but I decided to treat this like any other work day lunch break. Gonna miss that restaurant meal, though ...

I weigh myself everyday, and this week it's been worth it. My scale's readout is in 0.2 pounds, and it's gone down 0.2 everyday this week. Because the scale also gives a body fat reading, I can tell if my weight has gone up or down because of my hydration level (except for bones, if it doesn't have water in it, it's fat). The body fat readout has not radically changed this week, which leads me to believe the lower number on the scale is real change. That adds up to a pound of weight loss, which is a good number to shoot for. I'm pretty pleased with it.

Tomorrow morning will be a walk/run day, which will be a great way to end a good week. Maybe I'll even get in another walk at lunch tomorrow.
