I went to the doctor today and was weighed on their scale. I weighed 4 pounds more than the last time I weighed myself, about a week and a half ago. Scales are so finicky. My scale at home is probably the least accurate. When I weighed myself last week, I stepped on it a bunch of times and it gave me about 3 different numbers. I walked myself over the gym and weighed myself there, and it gave me one of the three my scale gave me, so that's what I went with. I think we could best trust doctor's office scales, but the high number on this one really bummed me out and led me to this revelation: the scale is stupid.
Truth is, I don't need a scale. I think how my clothes fit should the real barometer. With larger people and with smaller people, sometimes the scale says one thing but clothes say another. I choose the clothes.
And bummer, I caught a cold! So I didn't work out when I was sore earlier this week, and now I'm not going to work out til I feel better. So annoying!
