After two weeks of blowing off the gym, I went back tonight. I hate to sound sappy, but it was like visiting an old friend. When I walked in the door, the older couple that are there most nights greeted me with so much enthusiasm, I felt bad for missing so much.
I felt, 110%, like I was where I needed to be. And you know what? I had a GREAT workout and I feel so much better! A lot of the stress and worries I've been carrying around with me over the past two weeks seem to be lighter. I missed sweating, I missed pushing, I missed it all.
So for those of you that have been in a rut (and from the comments on my last few blogs, I know there are a lot of you), kick yourself in the rear and get back to it. It's completely and totally worth it.
