Going to the doctor...........

Thursday, March 14, 2013

I have made an appointment to see my doctor next Wednesday about my emotional well being. emoticon I have been doing some internet research and I am not so sure that it is depression but possibly a hormonal imbalance brought on by the stress of the last year and menopause. emoticon

I have literally thought that I was going crazy and my ex has told me many times that I am totally insane and not in a joking manner which has not helped at all. emoticon But I guess it is hard for him to understand my actions and reactions when I dont understand them myself. So onward and hopefully upward and may the doc find some answers for me!!! emoticon

Menopause can definitely make family and life stress more difficult to bear. (And vici-versa!) You can always try a small dose of hormones, see how you feel for a few cycles and if they don't work, try something else. It may be less drastic an option for your body than immediately trying out psychotropic medications. Just my opinion, mind you... I'm not a nurse yet...!

Sometimes, I think, w/ the modern technology, we know more than the docs know!

I like the ideas of writing notes or maybe journaling your moods and how it effected you and the day.

I wish for you the best. Don't listen to your ex - that's why he's your ex.

I hope your Doctor can help sort things out. Don't hold anything back and, if it helps, start making a set of notes for you to take in so that you don't forget to mention something.

Hope doctor helps you figure out what's going on. One of my friends who is younger than me has a lot more hormonal crap going on than I have in the last 7 years. Sometimes being low in some vitamin will affect the hormones. I had terrible PMS in my mid-late 30's. My doctor had me take B vitamins and magnesium (yes he's a MD) and it actually worked. Had to continue while I was pregnant and it helped so much. Hope it's something that simple to fix. emoticon
