I had a WONDERFUL day. I stayed in bed until about 11 watching The Walking Dead. DH was gone because he got a call from a friend to help him - flat tire on a trailer ~ 1 hour away. He promised to be back in time to go with me to Portland to hang out for the day after my acupuncture appointment. He wasn't. I was PISSED. But then I decided, don't be pissed...SHOP! So I did :) I was early to acupuncture so had a quick make-over at the MAC store and bought a nice lipstick. After acupuncture, I went to DSW and bought 2 pairs of shoes - dressy and flats, both sandals. Then, I got my eyebrows and lady-stache waxed and certainly took no offense when asked if I'd like my chin and jaw line waxed too, lol :). Afterwards, I ran in to Old Navy and bought a pair of shorts since the weather is getting nicer. Then met a very apologetic DH for a very quick, cheap dinner before going to the nearby outlet stores to buy a Fossil hand bag and wallet as his official present to me. Shopping was so much fun. It has been a very, very long time since I allowed myself to indulge like that. But we both work, so why not? DH has his (many) toys, I should have my fun, too!
Acupuncture was great. I'm with someone new since my regular gal is on maternity leave. I am now with an actual doctor and that makes me feel like I'm getting even more bang for my buck! She was very nice and the session was very relaxing. She wants me to stop eating carbs all together except veggies and fruit. Well, I was planning on starting SB again tomorrow, so that wasn't bad news to get. Other than that, she feels like my case is straight forward and is sure I will have a baby eventually. But she said that right now, my body is a 2-star hotel and a baby wants a 5-start hotel. So it's time to work on health as a means to a baby and not just to look at it as a means of losing weight. She did recommend that I get more testing done, though, since I've now had two miscarriages and no baby.
Anyway, after we got home I took the dogs for a walk and got in the last bit of my minimum 10,000 steps.
I had a wonderful, stress-free, happy day!
