In a recent post on the "Happiness Project" (Gretchen Rubin), the author asked if we agree or disagree on the following: "often it takes discipline to take pleasure"...
I guess... I agree, for the most part! But I have to say that I can also take great pleasure without discipline.... I have numerous example of that. In the blog, she mentioned that she has to push herself to start doing what she enjoy doing... I tend to disagree with that, effort or not, when I take a lot pleasure doing something I like, I get pretty upset if I skip or I can't do it... like my yoga class or running. Not only it feels good but it makes me feel good too!
Ok, this post is about food... so what about food?
I take pleasure tasting new food, new recipes and eating! Does it take discipline... I guess so because if I take too much pleasure, guess what... this

is how I feel!
With St-Pat Day approaching (17 March!), I decided that I would do a 17 Day Streak of "in range eating" and aiming for a differential of 300 daily... to get me until Easter weekend!
So back to some discipline but not cutting off on pleasure!
Just for the visual (you are not adding any cal by just looking!), here are some nice dishes I tried during my last trip to Mexico!
Appetizer - Tomato salad - loved the presentation... so fresh!
Main: Grilled Salmon with veggies! Yummi!!!!
Dessert: White chocolate cake... and the unusual...
...Crickets! I actually tried this on a chip with mole sauce, and it was not bad.
Crunchy to say the least!
Now the next day and the weekend to come might be a challenge on my streak but that is part of the fun, isn't it?
