I think I'm in OZ!

Hello,

Things are going well In some ways better than in a long time.

The new job is wonderful!!! I'm settling into my new office very well.


In other ways things just won't seem to come together.

Birthday went very well. Had lots of friends over and had a great time.

Randy got me the new windows Surface tablet -- so I shouldn't have any excuse to not get online.

I can't seem to do things I need to do:
Get online==== esp. Sparkpeople.
Wanting to back out on TOPS responsibility.
Church and Class ---backing out.


It's like I keep looking for new ways ---new things ??

Any suggestions?

My advice (and only because you asked for it) is to do what makes you happy! Participate in your dreams! Live the life you're dreaming about. Do the work it takes to make those dreams come true!

    Happy belated birthday!

My advice; try to get to the root of why you're not feeling as motivated, and perhaps add in something new, whether that's new exercise or an app or even some new measuring cups or gadget... see if that inspires you a bit.

I know how you feel though, I'm slogging on, and whilst some areas are fine I'm having to try hard to keep focused on portion control, and right now portion control feels like a tiresome chore.

    I'm so glad to see your post! I was a little worried about you! New jobs are stressful - even when it's a good change it's still stress. Happy Birthday belatedly. A celebration with friends is always a great way to spend a birthday. Only you can set your priorities in order. You certainly know you have all the possible support on SP you could ever need. I wish you well with that. It's a struggle most of us have had at one time of another in our lives. I trust you're having a meaningful Lent and I wish you and Randy a glorious Easter. God bless!

    sorry i missed your birthday love.happy belated birthday,glad it was a good one love.also glad your job is going well probably because you put it a priority when you first started it if you had stressed out about the other things the job start might not have been so good so content yourself with that and if at a later time you want to go back to doing the things on your list you can do.new things to do now let me think.you like cooking how about a cook course?you like dancing how about a tamgo or zumba class?maybe there is something new that you and randy can do together.have you ever thought of treasure hunting i think over there it is called geo something.that can be a fun was of meeting new people,seeing new faces and having fun well getting fit as there is usually lots of walking.just an idea.remember the world is your oyster and there are lots of things out there to do and alot of them will fit into a healthy lifestyle. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I was wondering how you were doing! So glad the job is going well and that you had a wonderful birthday. I do hope you are enjoying that tablet! As for the list of things you think you "need to do", you might want to consider that perhaps you don't. All you really need to do is to take care of you. I think maybe, at least for now, you do need to back away from the things you listed. That way you might be able to try some other things. Meanwhile, all the other things are still available options, but do them when and if you want, on your terms, and in a way that fulfills your needs. Do what is best for you.

    Hey good to see you Randy...I recently started seeing a nutritionist one on one and I am finding that I am adapting well to what she has me doing...I do think one of my prior problems is being on Sparkpeople too much,for me I am finding the simpler I keep things the less stressful.
My main goal right now is to do what I am told by the diabetes nutritionist and getting on sparks to log my food and exercise I do like to check on my close sparkfriends and encourage them but I pretty much keep to myself and trying hard to take losing weight as a medical diagnosis to get healthy.
