Saturday morning hikes

About 5 years ago, I got involved with a group who does hiking along the Guadalupe River in San Jose. Each Spring and Fall they have about 6 hikes to various parts of trail. I look forward to the group every year. We started up again on 3/9. It was so good to see lots of the familiar faces as well as some of the new ones. We hike for about 50 minutes. I was able to cover about 3 miles this time, much faster than ever before. We end up together to do some stretching and strength exercises led by a fitness instructor.

The trail is part of a flood abatement project for the city, but you would never know it since it is such a pretty place to hike. I can hardly wait for next Saturday so I can try to go farther.
