I tried the Sauna.. it was nice

My gym has installed a sauna, a dry one and today after treadmilling for 45 minutes, I sat in the sauna for 10. Reading the message boards about them, I learn that it's a nice way to relax, but it doesn't burn calories. Does anyone know the other health benefits of a sauna?

Being out of town was hard on the weekly goals. I ate a tad over the calorie range. Monday, I had two hours between appointments and went for a walk in a local park. Yesterday I mostly drove, which wipes me out and I can home and bailed on the gym, but did walk with the WII for 20 minutes. Sunday I planted my seeds. Today's project is to eliminate the smell of cat urine from my front room. The cats share their displeasure by peeing on the laundry that is piled waiting to be folded. Apparently, they don't like it when I am out of town. Neither did the little monster. He woke my husband up at 2am to go potty, and then ended up spending the night outside as my husband went back to bed rather then wait for him to come back in like I do. Little monster was very glad to see me and spent the night plastered to my feet.

    It does help get toxins out of your body but make sure that you also drink plenty of water too. It is also great for relaxing too after a good workout.

    I have never used a sauna but I don't do well with heat. Just be careful if you have high blood pressure or any other health issues. Check w/the Dr. if you do!
