Carb Cycling--it's working!!!

Weight Watchers, Low Carb Diets of all sorts, most recently p90x--I've been on the search for weight loss that works for the better part of 8 years. And I think...I've finally found it. My secret weapon. Two words for you:
If you've never seen it I suggest first watching a few episodes of Extreme Makeover--Weightloss Edition.
Chris Powell, the coach for that show is the author of the book Choose to Lose-- 7 Day Carb Cycling. After watching the show I was inspired by how much weight these people lost and I thought to myself--what their doing WORKS. So I looked up some info on Chris Powell and found his book which I bought thinking "It can't hurt."
Well it hasn't. 4 days after beginning to change the way I eat according to the plan (which is easy EASY to follow) outlined in this book. I have lost 7 lbs. In 4 days. I feel great. I'm sleeping better than I have in...years. I'm actually eating more than I'm used to.
The basis of carb cycling is alternating one day high carb meals, one day low carb meals. Andddd the best part is you can choose to have a full cheat day or 3 cheat meals throughout the week (on a high carb day). And you eat 5 times a day (every 3 hours--it's actually almost more than I can handle). The reasons why/how it works are in the book.
For the first time I don't feel like I'm missing anything. I'm not craving junk meal from Sonic's drive-thru, I'm eating carrots and drinking water and liking it (Powell suggests that after a few days eating whole foods you actually begin to experience the real taste of foods--I have to agree. For instance I tried to drink a diet mountain dew the other day and it tasted bad to me...never...has this happened to me in my life)? Have I slipped into an alternate reality, here?
Anyway, I don't imagine that my entire journey will yield 7 lbs a week or anything, but hey--it's an awesome start. And I feel that eating this way is something I can actually live with and do. I just wanted to share and tell you I think it's worth a look for anyone wanting to drop the pounds. Here's a link to the book on amazon:
