On the road again

Wednesday, March 13, 2013

I made it out of wine country without doing to much damage. The hardest part was trying not to graze on the snacks at tastings. Nobody does veggies-- it's all cheese, nuts, and fruit that's been dried or jellied. Thursday was our grand finale complete with a limo to Chateau Montelena and Domaine Carneros for wine tasting and dinner at JoLe. We planned to go over by an hour with the car service but, it was more like 3 extra hours. Time Flies when you are having fun. Fortunately, I have only a few weeks before the trucks start rolling in with my special packages. Favorite quote from our trip, ”Do you think 29 bottles of Rose will be enough?”

I made it home, re-packed and boogied back to the airport on Tuesday morning. I am now in Anchorage where it is very sunny but freezing cold. I have been drinking a lot of water and I went to the gym this morning. I love being on the road but, I am ready to get back to some type of normalacy of a schedule and the munchkins.

I am looking forward to cathchin up with all your blogs and post tonight. There is a 4 hour time difference from EST so, I am forcing myself to stay awake. As always, I am thinking of each and everyone of you and sending you only the healthiest wishes. Just because you're out of sight doesn't mean you're out of mind.

I was in Anchorage for a seminar, and just as we were at the airport to leave, they had this earthquake. To me it felt pretty good size. The locals never even noticed hardly. It was a friendly town as I recall. What wine country were you in? I picture California. I agree with another poster "you are a world traveler.

Wow, you are a world traveler! From warm and sunny Cali to cold Anchorage, hope you get to see the Northern Lights. That's a sight I've always wanted to see. We're going to Alaska the end of Aug first of Sept and am HOPING (it's an outside chance) I'll get to see them while in Fairbanks a couple days. Enjoy your trip! Stay healthy!
