I have been OFF the wagon for far too long. So I am checking in and letting you all know I will be on here on a regular basis from now on. Here is what Ive been up to.
I havent been working out. But have some other stuff going on. At the end of November my left ear closed up on me and I went to the ENT Dr. I thought it just needed cleaned out. So he had me do ear drops for a week. I did that and went back the following week. After looking into it farther he discovered that I have Cholesteatoma (which is skin growing in my ear, eating away the bone). And the only way to get it out is through surgery. He then referred me to his colleague who does surgeries. I met with the surgeon and he suggested I get a CT Scan to see how far along it is. Had the scan done and went back to the surgeon and he said it is very slow growing so................if I wanted I could see about getting a hearing aid for my right ear before having surgery on the other ear (since I can hardly hear out of right ear). I met with his audiologist and it was going to cost me $2000 for one hearing aid. And hearing that, I knew it would take a long time to come up with that money. So I did some investigating and found a Vocational and Rehabilitation center to see if they could help with the cost. After I met with the counselor she said I would qualify to get a hearing aid for FREE. After two dr visits, I should be getting my hearing aid within the next two weeks. I am VERY happy about this.
I have been working two jobs. Still at my fulltime job and working part time in a grocery store as a cashier. It is not bad. I work 3-4 days a week there including Sat. I have Sundays off.
My full time job has moved to a new location. Its an extra ten minutes on my commute. So my commute is now 25 mins. YIKES! The office space is smaller and more cramped. But there is a plus to this...........WE. HAVE. A. GYM. And it has 24 hr access and FREE. I have not checked it out yet, but I heard it is nice.
Ive been sick since Sunday. I left work early on Monday and took off on Tuesday. Im back to work today but Im still not 100%.
Tomorrow I am going to check out the gym with a co worker and see what equipment they have. Then once I feel better I will be able to work out on days I dont go to my other job. Plus I can workout on Saturdays whenever I get out of working 2nd job and was also thinking I could probably do an early Sunday morning workouts too.
I am scheduled to go to my other job tonight but not sure if I will be feeling up to it. SO I might call off tonight.
I have been trying to eat better and limit my sweets and I think I have been doing pretty good.
I have NOT weighed myself in AGES so Im not sure where Im at, but I know I have gained. And that doesnt feel good.
I am just super excited that my job has a gym and I have 24/7 access to it.
How is eveyone doing??? Ive missed you guys.
