Hi Spark Friends!
I figured I should get back to this business, and stop mulling around in my blah!
I turned my knee while doing Jillian's 30 day shred. I went to the doctor and was told that I mostly just inflamed it and it took a while for it to get to where I could walk on it everyday without pain. I have had about 3 days of little to no pain now. To be honest, it has made me leary of "getting back on the bike" as the saying goes. The reason is that even now when I walk, if I turn the knee to the side even a bit, it lets me know with pain. I do have a knee brace, but have not worn it yet. I am determined to put it on, and get to the gym tonight no matter what!
It was suggested to me to get back on my protein shakes, and basically get back to basics and start at the beginning again, so I did that yesterday. WOW, it was awful, I was hungry all day, didn't even have the energy to do much of anything last night let alone go to the gym.
My calories fell very low last night, and when I work out, I really work out, so protein shakes is not going to be an option for me, I just cannot spend the rest of my life starving myself to death. I am a night time binge eater... and hunger, and night time binge eating just do not go hand in hand.
So, as of this morning I am back to the plan I was on before, a well balanced plan with the variety of foods that are good for me. I may use an occasional shake to up my protein intake or fill in for breakfast or such, but not living on liquids the rest of my life, I just can't, it's just not working for me. Not to mention I am not even going there about the smoothie/protein shake thing... a veggie shake, ew!
So, that is my update, I am slowly getting back to it.
Still trying to find my groove.
But still not giving up!
