The eyes have it...

Wednesday, March 13, 2013

I had an appt. with my optholmologist specialist yesterday and my left eye is clouded so much I almost can't see anything at all out of it. I'm awaiting a call from his office about scheduling Cataract surgery. This will be my first Cataract surgery. If any of you out there have had it I'd greatly appreciate support and advice.

Thanks.

My DH had cataract surgery on both eyes in two separate operations in December 2011 - just about a month before he was diagnosed with the MG (which we now know he had had it for at least six months). He did just fine and is very pleased with improved vision as they do lense implants for correction now. You should do just fine!!

Fred and I have beginning cataracts and when Fred back to out group meeting at the university SENIOR college we were very surprised how everyone there who had it done said they had clearer vision. That should happen for you too, this was a big group and they all were happy to have had it done.I have no personal Knowledge of it YET, but the group all sounded genuine and I know them all well.
DH is not doing good with his Macular Degeneration but we have to stay positive with it. Eventually he will have it done too. emoticon emoticon emoticon Ask your Dr lots of questions when you go there.

HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon

With the implant lenses these days, most people are amazed at how much better their vision is.

Debbie, I have had both eyes done about 2 months apart a few years ago. Easy peasy! You will be amazed at how much better you will see!

My father and mother-in-law both have recently had it, and they were immensely pleased with the results very quickly. Other family and friends had it a few years ago and had similarly excellent results. Big hugs, good thoughts - it will go great!
