SparkPeople Blesses Me in a New Way

Wednesday, March 13, 2013

My running coach wants me to e-mail her my food intake on a daily basis. How cool that SP lets me export my food tracker to Excel!!?! Easy to attach it to an e-mail. Did it this morning. I added a sum total row in the Excel file. I bet the coach will be impressed with all the nutrients I'm tracking!!

As promised, I weighed this morning. Up 2.2 pounds in the past 5 days to 128.4, and yesterday I was actually a few calories below my range. Based on what I've eaten, I think some of the gain has got to be sodium or maybe glycogen storage in the muscles due to all my recent activity. So I'm going to be very careful for the next several days and see where I am. I refuse to feel discouraged! I am going to figure out how to fuel my activity AND achieve the weight I want!!

Those numbers on the scale have begun to annoy me also! I had some strange ones this past weekend...perhaps you are gaining more muscle?
Anyhow, I continue to be inspired by your discipline! emoticon

Excellent tracker feature, good for you!

And . . . agree with everyone's assessment of the slight weight variation: de nada!! blip!!

Why does your coach want your food diary?

Hmmm, I'm ALWAYS up after a very active day, no matter how (little) I've eaten. Never thought of glycogen storage. Works for me! emoticon

It will be interesting to see what feed back you get from Spark People. Whether you are up 2 pounds or not you are a force to be reckoned with! I would not want to be a pound on your body, because I know I would have a short life. emoticon emoticon

It could just be recovery weight from the races you ran over the weekend.

Yes, do not feel discouraged as you are doing so great. Awesome about the trackers here. I love them. I have populated my favorites list so it makes it really easy to use the "pull down" menu to add foods daily.
Have a terrific day!
