Making Insomnia work FOR you

Woke up ~45 min before I needed to. Choices:
1) Try to go back to sleep...then I'll be all groggy and weird.
2) Go fart around on computer....guilt. I didnt exercise yesterday and I had been thinking about adjusting my sched for AM exercise. Clearly this was the morning to try it out.
Went for a nice 20 min walk with interspersed periods of running. The point was to just get out, not have a full blown sweat session.
I'm feeling good. Will report back later on effect for the day.
Safety note: Yes, I did wear my reflective vest and I carried a big heavy flashlight. I also chose my route with a little more care than normal and left a note on the table. Paranoid? Nah. But I do have an overactive imagination and a fondness for crime formula TV shows.
