I finally got myself some shorts to run in. I hate my thighs (yes, really) and never considered running in shorts before, but I figured that if I could probably pull them off. So glad I did, they are so much better than leggings, especially in this heat!
Please ignore the horrible posture, I had just done a boxing class and a run back to back. I was tired.
Speaking of my run, I went on one. I don't hate it or suck at it so I'd like to run more often. The heat has been the main thing stopping me; It has been in the mid to high twenties (celcius, google for Fahrenheit) here all summer, and the heat and I do not see eye to eye. Anyways, I set out to do 4km in 28 minutes and it turns out that my route was 120 meters longer, so I ran 4.14km in 28 minutes. SWEET! That's less than 7 minute per km, which is a full minute and 45 seconds per km FASTER than I was this time last year! AND the only time I stopped was when I had to tie my shoe (and boy was I annoyed since I wanted to do the whole thing without stopping).
Since my run went so well I think I will sign up for the 6k I was looking at. I can easily train for a 6k in a month since I can already run 4. And it's $15. And literally 3km down the road. No reason not to sign up, really!
