Most Recent Non-Scale Victory

Tuesday, March 12, 2013

Spring is quickly approaching, and I had set a goal to wear size 10 clothes by the start of spring. A lot has happened since I set that goal, but I have remained focused on eating healthy foods in healthy amounts and exercising daily as often as I can. I have not been perfect by any means, but I have been determined!

Most recent non-scale victory:

Today I tucked a white shirt into my jeans, and liked what I saw!

That's right -- I liked what I saw in the mirror.

The scale isn't moving and I am not measuring my progress by it. I am measuring my progress by how much I learn, how I feel, and how hard I work to be healthy. And, even though my weight is not budging, my body size is.

I am wearing some of my size 10 clothes comfortably. I am not in all of them, but I am in some of them. As I continue to work toward this goal, I want to stay focused on my health -- physical and mental. I like that when I look in the mirror I like what I see. I want to keep that up whatever size I am!

Excellent! So happy for your success!

I do lean heavily on my scale because at my age, I have a lot of extra skin that isn't going to bounce back. But I do fit in some jeans I wasn't able to before! Yay us!
Blessings on your journey to a healthy lifestyle! emoticon
