On March 2, my husband and I walked through the daffodil gardens of Gibbs Gardens to see the early blooms and to renew our membership. We also renewed my parents' membership as an anniversary gift to them. I think I remember the temperature being about 37 degrees that day, but we bundled up and walked about the gardens. (Rather, I bundled up while my husband wore his walking shorts and said that Georgia doesn't get as cold as the Midwest :) )The daffodils will bloom until mid April with the early bloomers, mid bloomers and late bloomers unfolding in waves. We plan to go every other week so that we can see LOTS of daffodils! :) Great exercise for the body and great joy for the spirit!
A welcoming entrance crosses a babbling brook.
These flowers are planted around the outdoor cafe area.
Just came upon your blog, today. How beautiful. I love spring and all that it brings. Gorgeous pictures. Thanks for sharing. Wished I could have joined you and your hubby on your walk.
I love places like these! There is one in Myrtle Beach called Brookgreen Gardens and is it ever a wonderful experience to walk through there. Look it up on the internet and read the fascinating history on it. I have photos that I have framed that I took there!
