Dear March...

I feel bad that I haven't updated my blog in such a long time! The past couple of weeks have been INSANELY busy but now I'm finally having more time for myself, and hopefully I'll be able to update my blog more regularly. I've been basically only using the fitness tracker to track my fitness minutes and that's it. I feel like I don't know what's going on with my SparkFriends and that makes me sad! I better start catching up with all of you :)

So, I'm loving March so far! I've been working out a lot despite being busy and I just feel really good and happy in general. I've been maintaining my weight steadily and it's okay, I feel healthy at this weight for now. I'm going to keep on working out like I do now (I go running and do yoga three times a week, and I go for a brisk walk four times a week) and pay more attention to what I'm eating and I'm sure I'll start losing weight again. As I've said before, I'm not in any kind of rush and I don't mind losing weight very slowly, it just makes it easier for me to keep it off. And besides, I don't know how this happened - and I don't care - but I actually feel really comfortable at my current weight, so for now I'm happy to just maintain.

I eat healthy most of the time, but I need to pay more attention to HOW MUCH I eat, and also WHY I EAT. My boyfriend got a job (YAY FOR HIM! He had been looking for work for nine months until he got it. ) and now I'm spending a lot of time alone. Being alone is a huge trigger for me. I used to binge when no one was around and being alone triggers that same old, familiar response in my body even now. I have to be really careful and keep myself busy to not overeat while he's at work.

Speaking of food, I've been trying all kinds of new, healthy foods lately! I love smoothies for breakfast and I love trying new flavors (such as ginger, pineapple, carrots or mango). I also usually add a lot of spinach to my smoothie: you can't taste it but it's super healthy! I have dinner in the oven now (it's dinnertime here in Finland) and I'm making my own version of a Greek feta cheese and veggie casserole with lots of zucchini, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, garlic, red pepper, olives, feta cheese and olive oil. I hope it'll taste as good as it smells!! I'm hungry.

So this is a quick update about how I'm doing these days! I have been a little MIA but I'm still here, and I'm still making sure I take good care of my health and well being. Now I'm going to read your blogs and status updates to see what's going on with you guys!! Hope you're all well :)

    Happy and healthy is brilliant. When the BF is at work, and you're feeling lonely, do some Sparking and keep in touch with friends. It helps to keep your mind on the healthier options in life, as well as filling the loneliness. There's so much to read and do on this site. I feel as if Coach Nicole and I are old friends. We've been working out together for years!
