Spring Break

Today my family and I went out to hike Enchanted Rock. It was very cold, but clear and lovely. We got to the park early and made the hike up. It is a very steep climb. On the walk I discovered two things.
1. I want to be in better shape for our summer trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Arches, etc. We want to do hiking, and I will enjoy it more if i am in better shape.
2. I like hiking/walking and exercising. And I can do more than I think I can. Today was a good reminder of that!

    emoticon emoticon you're doing a emoticon job! I love to hike. My goal is to hike from Glacier Point at Yosemite down to the valley floor...about 4 miles down the mountain. Ooh, those knees, shins and quads. ouch! Better start training harder now.

    I know! Happy you have family cooperation and fun! I was able to walk forever on my trip while everyone else was pooping out! Felt great!

    I know exactly how you feel. I know that with each step I take it will become easier to do so many things. It's nice to have a goal to look forward to and I'm sure that your summer trip will be a piece of cake!
