The internal clock doesn't care what the other clocks say. The eyes
open at the usual time, with the sun in the regular place. I tiptoe out
of the bedroom to start my day, SPark and get organized. Out of the
house for my early morning walk and checking to see what I have
to work on today before my morning cup of coffee. Breakfast is
behind me and my snack is packed for mid-morning.
Once coffee is done, the real work begins. Oh, my! Did I really
leave all this behind on Friday? Guess it is not as bad as I thought.
I am up to speed in just a few minutes. Must have been all that
fresh air this morning.
DH is off on appointments and I am on my own for lunch. I spent
part of my lunch hour helping DS. I sit down to my salad and fish
and enjoy a few minutes of quiet. After walking back to the office,
the pager goes off and we are rolling out into the country. The wife,
very well versed on her husband's condition, is a tremendous help.
So are her two very strong sons who help us load her DH into
the ambulance. We chose the closest hospital and the man's
nurse had already confirmed that we made the right choice. The
PA is brisk and thorough and the man is in good hands. We leave
with the family's promise to let us know how it all turns out. No
call yet but the gratitiude in their eyes says it all.
Back in the office, I get back to business-so much to do that my
afternoon coffee break arrives after 3:30, late by the usual routine.
Before I know it, it is past 5 and I am still working on the computer
and loathe to stop until I reached the final stage in the process. Those
computer gremlins may erase it all unless I take action LOL!
A quick trip out to the farm lasts much longer that planned but it
was a good thing I showed up. A few minor repairs, much like my
mom would have done in her day. Home to make a light supper and
turn my attention to the tax papers sitting in the basket. A few more
items and I should be done.
The "extra"hour of sunlight tonight was put to good use and now
I am just taking some time to track, read blogs and then call it a day.
Hope your Monday was the best it could be and thanks for stopping by.
