I never stick to a strict diet....I don't think that is what SP is about....I try everyday to drink my water......get at least 5 veggies and fruits......cut out needless sugars and bad fats...not good ones. Now I don't lose a ton of weight but five years ago I was 19 pounds heavier than I am now....life throws us curve balls....and you have to make due with what you have. It all comes out good in the big picture. I would hate to think how much bigger and unhealthy I would have been today if I had not started Spark People..... emoticon

I'm very familiar with that. Seems sometime like the only thing I'm consistent about is being inconsistent.

It might be more important to be doing something than doing the same thing. Maybe the plan needs to flex and flow more with your life.

Spark People seems to be about a lot more than just getting on a plan and roboting up. Some of us enjoy your company.

Stay with it. Make some adjustments - see if that works. Just keep on trying, I'm sure you'll fine what works.

Keep at it. Better to be here and trying to find a workable plan than it is to not be here and have no plan at all.

Time to do a little soul searching. Why are you having trouble sticking to your plan? Maybe some professional help (like your family Dr) is in order. Don't try to solve it all by yourself! Use us -- use your Dr -- but don't give up!

    Don't give up! I see you've lost 69 pounds already - awesome!!!

Here's the deal - i'm getting out of my funk, too. And sometimes it just takes a REALLY long time for me. So do yourself a favor and stay on this web site regardless of those days where you just don't eat quite right. Read articles, get encouragement, encourage others, and blog because keeping these healthy habits in mind will at least keep that pilot light lit. Otherwise if you completely forget about sparkpeople you may just go right back to where you were then you'll be REALLY ANGRY at yourself.

Stick with it - get that spark back!!!

This must be a time of Accounting...just read a few other blogs - with the same general theme! We all seem to be down on ourselves, doubting our ability.

Don't focus on what you think of as your failure. You have improved. You are more aware of what you eat, You know you want, and need, to get some exercise. And you know the path to take to achieve your Healthy Life Style. You have come a long way.
You have also encouraged many people, in their struggle.

You KNOW the way to get the life you want! Don't talk yourself out of it. emoticon But NOT if YOU give up! emoticon

Just keep at it. It can take a while for things to finally kick in but it is worth it and you deserve the results you want. It's taken me 4 years to figure many of these things out and I am still learning. If I can do it, anybody can.

You are such a positive influence on others, don't be down on yourself. Make small steps, like you told me. Doing something positive for yourself is never a waste. emoticon emoticon

You might need to make some adjustments or set smaller goals to get yourself started. It's all about making small, achievable goals. It doesn't matter how small or simple it is! Then, when you accomplish it, tackle something just a little bigger. You'll make significant progress in no time, because the success of the small goals will motivate you to take on the big ones.

Don't give up. I keep messing up all the time. I haven't made progress on my fitness, but I am still motivated. Forgive yourself and press on. Never give up.

We can do it my friend.
