No energy blog :)

I am a bit low on energy these days. Work has taken a toll on me. We are in the process of hiring more staff for Kennels so we can get ready for Easter. We have great people working there, the best team I have ever had the pleasure to work with. But just not enough of them. So my boss is interviewing more people. They have to be caring, mulititasking, team work oriented and most of all able to follow all protocols to a T. We don't kid around. Animal care is first priority at all times, we even throw down with the vets over it if we believe they are not seeing what we are seeing. LOL, like I said, we are warriors for our animals. Not even kidding. We don't even allow anyone to speak ill of the barkers and biters, lol. We ask them to leave our kennels if they have nothing nice to say about our puppies.
But it does take a toll. I am mentally exhausted (I also work reception, where no day is ever the same). So I am in need of catching up on sleep, I am continuing to make healthy breakfast and lunches and try to get my 8-10 glasses of water in. And my stretches. Those I have actually very successfully done while already in bed. It is so relaxing that it sends me right into the lalaland of sleep. And that is great.

So let's see how this week will unfold. Hopefully by the end of the week I have a few people I can train for Kennels and get rolling so we can welcome them to the great team with open arms. :)

    I never thought of stretching in bed! Thanks for a splendid suggestion, kiddo. At least this might work out for me the weeks my sweet hubby is on 2nd shift. The other weeks I am afraid he might think I'm having fits

    Good to hear that you are being consistent with your water, healthy meals and stretches. Keep up the good work!

    I'll keep fingers crossed that you guys get some new, quality employees soon. It's hard to find the right people for a job that requires that much patience.

    Yep, sometimes we just need a little time (and sleep) to recharge. I hope they get that extra help for the kennels soon.

    I thought about doing the stretches at night in bed, but I dont' think the hubs would appreciate it. LOL

    I'm glad the stretching is proving good for you at the end of tiring days. I think it is something I will maintain when this challenge is over. Your kennels sound a wonderful place for the animals and I hope you get the staff you need who will fit in with the ethos of the place. Our vets are similar and the animals always come first.
