What's on my mind

Monday, March 11, 2013

Lots of things, to say the least. It's looking pretty certain that my current employment will be ending on May 1st, and I will face the task of looking for employment. It's unlikely that I will be able to line up anything paying near as much as this job did. Hindsight being 20/20, I wished I had put away more $$ for retirement, but at least I am only wading in dept, not swimming....heheheheh.
All the stressing has taken its toll on my emotional eating, and I have not yet learned how to "harness" the stress in a healthy manner, such as a good workout.
All that being said - these challenges will all be good for me, and I will come out of them with a better life experience.

Is there a favorite craft you have? Like woodworking or something? Often it beats going to the fridge instead, and ways to make money out of your idle time, your creativity,..the energy used will also help with your losses..emotional go to itness not runfromitness with belly aftershocks..but i'm not one to talk...The craft thing also takes a lot of emotional support, or at least appreciation from somewhere! Good Luck...

Good luck in searching for that job! But while you are emotionally eating think about whether that will get you to your goal faster?? It won't change the circumstances but will make you feel even worse. You can do it! And we are here to support you too!!

Hopefully you will qualify for unemployment if the job search doesn't turn something up quickly.

I saw something at the gym today that I actually found interesting. Did you know that keeping yourself well-hydrated can help you handle stress better?

In addition to the direct benefits of keeping your body from being physically stressed while you're unavoidably mentally stressed, if you can get yourself to drink a glass of water before you grab food, even if you do grab the food it might help you eat less.

I am retired too; it has its pros and cons, but overall I love it.

Best wishes.

I know what it was like to be an emotional eater until I came to Sparks.
This is a wonderful resource tool as well as, for motivation and encouragment.
Be sure to make many friends, too. They are wonderful.

It seems the whole country is facing job uncertainties right now, very troubling and distressing for all of us.

Keep working at it, it's hard but it will be worth it when you reach your goal! Hope you're able to find new employment quickly.
