I wanted to share an open invitation to this new Sparkteam I am leading called, "The Skinny Rules Challenge for people with 100+ lbs to lose": tinyurl.com/aod2t
Some of you may remember that I used to co-lead the Biggest Loser challenge for 20-somethings with 100+ lb to lose (yay purple ninjas and blue hyacinths!)...Well, this team will be run in a similar style. The difference with this new team: anyone of any age can join. Also, you can join if you have less than 100 lb to lose (as long as you did, at one time, have 100 lb to lose). Finally, There is no end date to this challenge, because there is no end to our healthy lifestyle! You may join or take a break at any time.
So.. what are the "Skinny Rules?" Well, they are a series of guidelines set up by none other than Bob Harper (fitness guru and trainer on the Biggest Loser TV show) in his latest book. We follow his philosophy on nutrition and encourage individualized fitness plans through a series of weekly challenges. There is a points system, and each week we celebrate the weekly "Biggest Losers" and points winners with encouragement and sparkgoodies.
The best part: the sense of community and camaraderie formed by being among like-minded, goal-oriented individuals. It's difficult to change your lifestyle; it's easier with friends.
