In March Eat More Greens

I love March for many reasons. First, green splashes appear nearly everywhere I turn, especially in the rolling hills of my neighborhood and the beautiful state park where I trail run. I make it a goal to live into the greenness around me by eating as much plant-based food as possible during the this time of year. These green foods are nutrition dense, with benefits that exceed many other choices, including healthy bones, boosted immune system, and disease-fighting properties. Stock up on Granny Smith apples, kiwi, green grapes, leafy greens, broccoli, peppers, chilies Brussels sprouts, and avocados to add more green to your diet.

    I am with you, my parents always went out as soon as the snow melted and picked greens to cook, said it was necessary after our long winters. and we were quite a healthy bunch
