What's on my mind.....

There are so many things buzzing around in my head lately. First and foremost, I'm trying to figure out how to get/stay fit and not drop any other of the balls in my life. I thought I had it all together and then I was told on several occasions by a couple key family members that they hardly see me anymore as I'm either working, at the gym or running.
And then there's SparkPeople. I spend a lot of time here, or I used to before I started driving the big, yellow bus. Now I feel as though I'm neglecting that, too. UGH.
There has got to be a way to keep up with everything I need/want to do in my life, right?

    I have parred my spark teams way down. And as you might notice don't post at night much or on weekends. Just do what you can with spark. Good luck finding your balance...but remember if you don't take care of you no one will!!

    Tough one. I was feeling the same way last fall, and cut my FaceBook friends in half. It was tough mentally to do, but I couldn't keep up with my family and close friends, especially in the busy harvest season.

    Make a priority list, and try to work off that. Remember that you have a very small child that takes a lot of time and energy. Time will come back as she gets older!

    It can definitely be challenging to balance it all. One thing that might be interesting to pay attention to: during the times when you aren't working, aren't at the gym, aren't online, aren't running, what are you and these key family members doing? Are there times you're around, but they're off doing their thing? Or times when you're both around, but one person watching TV and the other in another room doing something else? Or is it scheduling conflicts where you or they are not available for most of those hours even if you wanted to spend the time together?

    I found personally with DS and DDa when they were smaller that we could be in the same house for hours on end and not be doing any of any value together -- but they'd complain if I was out of the house for a couple hours a day.

    I love the idea above. Invite them to go with you everywhere you go. When they say no, whose fault is it that you aren't spending time together. LOL

    About a year ago, I pared the Spark teams I post to down to just one (BLC). It is so easy to spend way too much time on Spark.

    So, take those key family members with you the next time you head for the gym or a run. They'll probably want to take a pass on going to work with you.
