Having problems with my laptop, I can't even get onto my regular browser due to errors in the system drive, so until I can get my buddy Jason to take a look, I may not be able to Spark much...

wish me luck, he's working full time now--and not for me! lol

    Glad to hear you are sorted out for the time being. Hope it holds on until you can afford a more costly repair. At that time you should compare cost of a new hard drive (can be costly, depending on what you use), formating & reinstalling all software (payments to Jason) and buying a new laptop. You might realize cost comes to about the same and then you would have newer technology.

My netbook at home is giving me problems as well and my "quickfix" worked for 2 weeks only. Have to buy a new OS to solve my problem..... yikes. Meanwhile I just use my office laptop only.

Jason came last night for "dinner"--I talked to him on the phone and he wanted a sandwich as payment, so I gave him a few choices, and he chose a krab salad sandwich with chips and a bit of potato salad and apple juice, so I put it together while he worked on my laptop. He had to reinstall the browser, and that seems to have taken care of the worst of the problems. He did say there were some corrupt files on the hard drive and that it would eventually need to be dealt with and possibly replaced down the road... so starting next "payday" I'm setting aside a bit each month to take care of that. Hopefully, it will hang in until I've got enough! LOL

I forgot the juice, so he says I owe him a glass of apple juice, and that he's going to hold it over my head and he'll let me know when it's time to "pay up!" LOL

    I went through something similar not too long ago and had to have a new hard drive. I bought a new computer.
