It was already making wall work a big "if" when they started talking fifty percent rain for the weekend. And this, the only weekend we would have been able to work on it for a month because of the previously listed engagements. I remember all the weeks I would freak out wondering if we would get to work on the cabin due to forecasts of rain. Well it's not bugging him this weekend. Ron woke me up at four thirty this morning (Saturday) and I thought maybe that meant he WAS planning on wall work. It didn't even register when he started packing up his cpap machine.

We are currently turning back home at five thirty am after getting about ten miles out of town. The shock that he thought I knew we were going to the cabin and come on, let's go, caused me to forget all my Medifast at home. After seven months and nineteen pounds from a hundred down, I am NOT risking anything like that! He really does test me tho. He says that next week he has to spend all his time cleaning his sheds and getting hisfishing stuff ready. The Saturday that I have to work he will be in a fishing tournament. A hint that he won't be fixing walls. The deal is that I know that even if both strong sons are at his service, he is unlikely to work on stuff without me there too. That is why I was so shocked he did most of the ceilings while I was at work. I told him to party on. Zack and I will be in Austin. Then he asks if we plan to be there all week.

I know this will all be posted a day or two late as I write from the nook. Friday night the fire truck had to come for my unit just like they did on Thursday. You would think they coulda fixed a faulty smoke detector by now but at least they have a theory now. Guessing it is from the steam of the shower. We got a new girl yesterday who told me right off that two recemt clients that came from and returned to her previous facility had already told her about me. Uh oh. "They said you were chill." Wow. Just wow. I have never thought of myself as someone that made a big enuf impression for people to pass on information about.

No wonder he gave me such a funny look this morning when he thought we were rumning out of town and I pulled out wvery pair of jeans from aa drawer saying I was going to try them all on to see which to keep. I had THOUGHT these were all my smaller jeans but each one I pulled out was either twelve or fourteen. I was looking for a size ten to try on out of curiosity since I have been wearing twelves for awhile now and able to pull out the waist quite a bit. Anyway, I did end up trying on four or five pair before I figured out his plan and they all fit great. Now I have two pair of PINK jeans to wear to work. Currently listening to some jams about "Sweet, sweet Connie" in We're An American Band. Rented Playing for Keeps because of Augustana singing in the background on the commercial since I saw them five weeks ago. (Didn't watch it til Sunday and guess what? Absolutely NO Augustana on the whole movie! They only sing on the COMMERCIAL!)

Sarurday night. We built a permanent set of stairs to the loft which I actually feel safe on because the top step comes almost to the floor pf the loft and rails go all the way to the ceiling with stabilizers. I stained the ladder and the picnic table and he planted the four new yuccas, two palms and two flowering shrubs. As usual, after he went to sleep, I am on the porch listening to the wind in all the tall pine trees sounding ever so much like ocean waves. It's very soothing. We watxhed The Intouchables and both of us swore that previews were in English but the whole movie was in French with subtitles. It was still very good. He didn't make me switch to a different film.

Never did rain. I gave in and let him hang one of his deer skulls in the empty frame work over the front door. That made him happy. At least. Now it will probably be a month before I get den walls but the wood is gorgeous and I am very glad we decided not to color them. When they finally do get put up they will look fabulous. In the area where radio has started to fall out, I finally have the attachment for his stereo to play my nook concert videos thru his speakers which is how I get my way. Sound is awesome. We only had one moment when he was trying to blame me for every time he goes alzeimers and misplaces stuff but I just went on to the staining....and ended up with another two drinks just one week since the last one. It was needed tho. If it keeps the peace...keeps me from focusing on not once being told thank you for anything and not even a "look at you" for losing eighty one flipping pounds...who can lay fault?

The loft

The suckiest thing about losing alot of weight is that no one wants to take pictures anymore. They were EVERYWHERE when I weighed a ton. I haven't been this small in thirteen years and no one even wanted photos at Christmas. Sunday arrived with pouring rain, lightning, and hellacious arthritic ankle. At least Ron had made hot coffee before the electricity went out. Now he has decided we need one of those bears carved out of trees to put on the tree stump that he is planting all the yucca around. I am reading a 657 page FREE vampire book from B&N that is actually pretty good but still waiting for electric to watch a movie before leaving. We drove around the neighborhood and saw the small group of pelicans on the other side of the lake. Only about thirty or forty anymore but they are still really fun. Electric came on and we watched the movie. He hung the rest of his deer skulls on his shed and I hooked up the ipod to the tv and watched videos and then we came home. I went to bed by SEVEN PM and didn't get out of bed til this MORNING.
