Planned my First Reward!

Monday, March 11, 2013

I was never going to do this, but I finally planned my first reward for when I hit 230. I really want to color my hair and get highlights, I found a style I really like on Pinterest. So now I will do it, but I have to get to 230 pounds first. I have been thinking about starting reward system, since I see a lot of my spark friends have one. I hope this will help with keeping the motivation. Well I really want to get my hair done, so I better keep my butt moving and kick it up a notch.

That sounds like a great system! I will be excited to see the new hairstyle and color because I know you will achieve that reward.

I just got back into doing rewards for myself. It seems to help me stay on track!

I think this reward is a great idea. So many of us want to put off things like new clothes or pretty things or new haircuts until we're at our perfect weight, but you can feel good about yourself and look good while you're getting there!

I was never good at rewarding myself, but I've come to think of it as a good thing. Partly, to keep on track, especially for me as it gets closer to goal. But also, I think it is important to make a big deal out of reaching the smaller goals. In school, you might have made honor roll and gotten an award, but as adults, particularly when it comes to personal goals, we don't get to throw a party or have a ceremony. You should treat yourself to something as a reward for a job well done.

Rewards help motivate you in your journey to weight lost. I like that idea of coloring your hair and higlights! Do, you! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Yea I was thinking about the same thing today, don't know what mine are going to be yet, but I'm sure I can think of something enticing:) Good luck on your journey.

I think it's really good to have rewards laid out ahead of time. I have not done that much on my journey, but I know it is reinforcing and can be fun to look forward to. Glenn
