While I was putting the groceries in the car today I watched a man reverse park into a parking spot, very carefully and very slowly, only to see him park smack dab in the middle of two parking spots. After much laughter and shaking of heads and an oblivious look from him I had to post a "lousy parking" blog today ......... enjoy
I know a 300 lb man who got blocked in and was unable to open the driver door. He was parked by a wall on passenger side. He had to crawl into the car via his back hatch door then crawl over the seats to get to the drivers seat. He started his car, backed out of the spot then took out his pocket knife an JAMMED it into the two rear tires of the other vehicle!he figured the guy probably had One Spare tire ....but not TWO! He thought this plan up while waiting45 minutes for the other driver to return. Sometimes patience just runs out!
My dad worked in printing and made some attractive cards to put on vehicles...it thanked them for taking two parking spots and how considerate they were.
*LOL* Brings back fond memories of parking in TI's parking lot when I worked there ages ago. Our favorite thing was to post a small business-card size note on the idiot's windshield that read, "Dumb@sses like you who don't know how to park should take the bus." Thanks, Jules~ *hugs* BB~
Love it. I'm one of those who will take a spot +...driving a truck, most spots these days are sized for something small. I like to be able to open the doors without hitting another car or being hit by one. However, I also park 'away' from the store...walking an extra few feet is not a problem. And it reminds me that I have recovered from knee surgery & don't need to park close to anything.
wow, business cards for bad parking - sounds dangerous I regularly back into parking spaces (easier to pull out without blindly entering traffic lane) and one day a woman watched me and said "you park like a man" - wasn't sure how to take that comment - was it meant as a compliment? (I think she meant it that way, but still...) Another good reason to walk when we can
