I can't believe that it has been over 2.5 years since I have last posted.
Fortunately I haven't gained too much since that time back in July, 2010 but I am still not in the shape that I'd like to be.
I joined a gym last November, and I haven't really lost anything--but that is also due to my poor eating habits. I have a tendency to eat fast food when I "can't find time to make myself lunch" or if I am too tired after work. I have been shopping for healthier food, and have been telling myself that I am not allowed to buy food that I haven't made myself. So far, it's been working... However, I am worried that I will become overcome with the urge.
Another downside is that I enjoy fine scotch, and I have taken this into account in my dieting... I don't drink to excess, but I enjoy a small inch. However, if I am with friends and partake in two or three, I become very hungry and almost always buy some fast food or order take-out. I think this is the biggest problem when it comes to trying to stay focused. In 2010 I gave up alcohol in the summer (before I discovered scotch) and I lost most of my weight that I wanted to take off. Perhaps I could close the cabinet for the rest of the spring and just tell myself no? I do enjoy socializing, especially over something classy--I just don't want it to sabotage my efforts.
Anyways, I think I've been rambling too much... If anyone is reading this, what do you think of black coffee elimination? I drink 2-3 cups a day, and I've seen mixed opinions for how it affects weight loss. The majority of articles indicate that continuing to drink coffee doesn't make a difference but I'm just wondering what people's opinions in the SparkWorld have shown them.
Thanks for reading!
