I would love to have a diet buddy or buddies. At this time in my life, it is critical for me to lose this weight. My insurance will be running out in June 2014. I need to be off meds as I can't afford them without insurance. Also, I like feeling better as I lose the weight.
My work schedule is a little demanding, however, I manage to come on SparkPeople a couple of times every day. My food choices aren't always the best. I zap a lot of food and once a week, I might buy a Happy Meal. I like to pack my lunch, however, sometimes I miss the mark on that one. Plus I have no food imagination. In the summer, as I work in my car, packing a lunch isn't always the best idea.
My job is physically demanding. I walk at a minimum one mile a day. Then there is Friday where I get in approximately three miles. Not sure if this is correct, but the pedometer said so and it takes all day to get it done. I am not a jogger and not a speed walker. I have a bad hip so I have to walk a little here and a little there. Job is perfect for that. I also do a lot of lifting. I stay tired and am looking forward to a time when jobs don't wear me out so much. I know it will happen one day, just wish it were today.
I am not a pollyanna type person nor am I morbid. I guess I am a mid range optimistic person with a quirky sense of humor. I am middle aged (53 soon), overweight, and trying to stay motivated. I like to read and have a kindle. I am a grandmother of two. Love cas. Like to do crafts, but really stink at them. Currently working two to three jobs. And I occasionally play the lottery and dream big!
