Eating on the weekend

My DH and i like to eat out on the weekends and we have found that we can stay within our allotted calories by making wise choices. Many of the restaurants have lower calories meals on the menu and we chose from those. For the restaurants that don't we try to stay with grilled or baked meats or fish and avoid anything that is fried. So far it is working well for us. Thanks Sparkpeople for great ideas.

    emoticon Joy ~ I have found lately restaurants are finally, getting the message in my home town. Some have added calorie counts beside - health/heart smart food choices with portion sizes reduced.

    Week-ends are the hardest, especially if I eat out! I think we have constantly remind ourselves to make good choices.
