I was a busy bee all weekend long and I'm almost ready for Tuesday (The date of my surgery.) Tomorrow, I will run the vacuum, do last minute shopping, fill out my surgery paperwork, make a pot of chicken vegetable soup and change the sheets on our bed. So far, I have frozen homemade meals for 3 dinners. I have a bunch of frozen Weight Watchers meals in the freezer too. Other than the need to purchase produce at the store tomorrow, we are set as far as meals are concerned.
I have finished the Easter baskets and addressed the cards for our families (we have large families). I have also done the cards for my older persons (who are alone) card ministry. All of my pre-op tests are complete. I have done laundry and shopping for medical items that I will need. The priest at church blessed my shoulder and we prayed together (I was so grateful and touched by his gesture that I was close to tears.)
The only thing I have left to do is relax. That is the biggest hurdle yet to come before my surgery. Once everything else is complete, I will feel more in control. I plan to listen to my relaxation CD tomorrow after I've finished those items that I've listed above.
On Tuesday, I will start my Spark Break. I will miss all of you but I'll be back soon!
