Whoever said exercise gives you a "high" was high themselves emoticon
I HATE EVERY minute I am at the gym, not much happier when I workout at home either. The only thing that I don't mind is taking a walk but there are days even that is torture! I so do not feel "high" and believe me I know what "high" feels like(from my younger days!) The only thing that keeps me going is I want to lose weight, I want to look good, and I want to be healthier. Maybe I will feel these endorphins when I am closer to my goal weight but for the time being my workouts are total torture! (after this week's weigh in I wonder why I even went back) Not to mention after today's workout all I want are carbs and have totally eaten all the points I earned today.
Going to try and go back tomorrow after work, have PT on Tuesday and maybe if I am not totally exhausted from this time change thing messing me up I will go Wednesday too.
Here's to a new week! emoticon

I agree first thing in the morning is good exercising but I can't get my butt out of alarm goes off and I don't hear it so I can't go to the gym in the morning...I do situps every other day first thing in the am. I was hoping it would get me used to waking up earlier but it doesn't work.

I wasn't a big fan of the gym until I started going early mornings (and I used to HATE to get up early!) When I exercised in the morning, I found my brain was SO much more awake and productive all day long, and I could multi-task till bedtime. Glad I finally tried it!

I used to play softball when I was a kid and was on a swim team...I have thought about going to the y to use the pool but it is kinda expensive. I don't have anyone that is as serious as me to go to the gym right now. If I could get my butt out of bed at 5am I could go with a friend from work but I haven't been able to do it, I am such a night owl it isn't funny that is one of the reason why I go to a 24 hour gym I can go as late as I want not that I do it very much but the option is there.

Do you like to play? Is there anything that you did as a young child that you enjoyed? Roller skating? Tennis? Any ball games? Tag? Swimming?
Bicycling? Playing is way more fun than exercising. I like playing for fitness. It takes the boredom right out of it. Also, do you have a workout buddy, a playmate? That is the very best way to get into shape - with a friend or partner. When I walk with someone, I will not stop first!
Anyway, good job sticking with it! emoticon emoticon

I have used almost every machine in the gym, I have tried different exercises at home I just don't like exercise I guess. It has been too cold and snowy this winter so I haven't walked much but like I said even that is too much sometimes. Maybe my definition of feeling good is not the normal but my muscles don't feel good after a workout and when I have pushed it to the next level those muscles are sore exactly 24 hours later and that to me does not feel good, I know it is necessary so I keep doing it. I think part of my problem is I get bored REALLY quick and the things I was doing to change my routine up I can't do by order of the doctor.

I think exercise is just like every other sport, some people like it and some people don't...I love NASCAR and motorsports but I hate football and basketball...and exercise that I do emoticon

I agree with Rocky, there is a "high" but it's more of a feel good you got it done and your body is all stretched and muscles are feeling good feeling.
But good for you for pushing yourself to do it everyday.

You need to find some exercise that you enjoy - if it's walking then maybe just do it a few days a week for a half hour. Find a place to walk that you enjoy the sights. You can do it!!!
