I was so surprised to get so many emails congratulating me on having maintained my new body weight for 3 years as of March 8.
It just doesn't seem like that long ago that I was still struggling to find a balance in what to eat, how much to eat, and how hard I should work out. I am still finding myself caught off guard by looking in a mirror and seeing collar bones and hip bones.
It has been a struggle to keep all the high calorie stuff out of my diet, and every so often I do succumb to the Siren song of cookies or ice cream. I have also figured out, finally, that it is okay to eat those as treats once in a while as long as I spend the majority of my time enjoying the healthier stuff.
I am happy to have helped others in their journey to a healthier body. I am also proud of the fact that I have inspired my kids to be more active as well. Now, if only I could get the hubster off the computer and gaming consoles and outside for a walk or bike ride and it would be perfect.
I just want to say a HUGE
to everyone who helped me to get to maintenance and also to those who have sent me messages congratulating me on maintaining.
Everyone here can do this, I know we can.
