Another healthy habit?

Last week's LTGL challenge was to form a new habit. My new habit was to begin running outside and then on to a 5K later this spring. I strained my knee joints over exercising last week (so grateful that it is nothing worse).

My takeaway from this exercise was; we are in a CHALLENGE not a race. I always want to keep up with my pack, and this habit plan, really challenged me to switch gears right then and there. I am loving running, my caveman diet, DH is enjoying it all too, yikes, I panicked and then...

I realized that the last few days for me have been about decision making. Denise Austin, one of my fitness instructors is always expounding, "Strong bodies, Strong minds!". .

I began gardening, THANK YOU SUNSHINE and riding my bike slowly without knee pain. I am so grateful for that. Dave and I even enjoyed a sunset putt around town and then down to the marina.

As I read through everyone’s blogs, I see where learning from each other and keeping up with these new habits, WILL make the difference. My new habit is to place my Mind over Matter. I look around, TV, public places, heaven forbid, my own friends and family; there are so few “Thinkers”. A lot of mindless meandering through life. How tragic! From Kandolakers blog, “live your life with the Intention that this is all there is.” I said it then and I will say again, “AMEN”.

My new habit for me and my house is MOM. Great acronym, eh?

    Hope that knee heels soon. MOM - I like that! But it only works if we do it!

    I like Denise Austin too .I am really bad fr pushing ,in some instances it is good that is why I still walk but do be careful of your knees (says the lady with no knees ,seriously I have had my kneecaps removed) Knees are easily damaged by overtraining take it slow and easy and get good running shoes !
