Like many with Netflix I saw the documentary Fat,Sick and nearly dead. I must have been talking a lot about it because last Wed on my Birthday I received a Jack Lalanne power Juicer and parents with sister came with armful of veggies and fruit!. I played with it for a couple of days and I fell in love.
Yesterday I decided to do the juice reboot for a day. I was expecting the worse but it wasn't bad. Surprisingly I like the taste of veggie juice. Today is another story as I woke up with flu like symptoms but I am going to just drink juices again and tomorrow too. I am thinking that it's toxins mostly from drinking a lot of coffee. Not sure If I will do more than 3 days. I assume I will get more benefits if I can do it for 7 days straight.

I have to say that being on a Paleo plan has changed my life completely . My Monthly friend is now the most "Normal" it has ever been in my life. I can actually function during it and have minimal cramps. Not to mention money that I save from not having to buy 3 boxes of pads for each cycle (sorry for TMI but this was a huge thing for me). I don't crave carbs- for example: I didn't want a birthday cake! Yep.. instead I did a more natural celebration by having a really nice home cooked meal and fried some plantains with coconut oil
- drizzled with a touch of honey. Best Birthday ever! At least for me. Everyone kept on asking me if I was SURE i didn't want a cake..
And I have more energy. I exercise more and don't get tired as easily.
But my weight since Christmas has gone up and down 10lbs. I allowed some non paleo foods for that period and my body is having a tough time adjusting. The reboot should adjust things.
My hope is that once I reboot my system a combo of paleo and juicing will be the key to keep my body going on this weight loss journey.
