When you're thrown off, just get back on
Sunday, March 10, 2013
There are things in life that will legitimately throw you off course. Many times they're illnesses, either your own or someone else's. It could be a change in life status, whether it be marriage, moving, parenthood or job loss. It could be a number of things, but in the end you still have to live with yourself.
This week came with being sick. I was too tired to do anything. Then the microwave died. My Mom will be having eye surgery this coming week, so I didn't want to contaminate her and haven't seen her in a couple of weeks because of it. Life has not been normal for me this week. I have not moved as much as I normally move and fortunately I also haven't eaten as much as I have in the recent past. Perhaps a blessing in disguise?
Looking forward I see the weather improving so I can get outside more and take longer walks. The produce is starting to get cheaper again. The kids will be able to come outside with me more and because the light will be up "later" now that we have changed the clocks, I can get my husband to take those walks with me, perhaps jumping his weight loss he refuses to really look at.
So what has thrown you off and how do you plan on getting back on course? Just because you haven't been able to do things like you normally have doesn't mean you can't get back to a new normal. There's always a way to get around things, it may be time to challenge yourself to do new things with the new time frame we've been given with the new light schedule.
