Stretching

Ok this week in the Starfish team for the Winter 5% Challenge we are focusing on stretching for 10 minutes.
Sounds easy but it is not as easy as you think doing it for 10 minutes and for me rather painful.
So I split it up and do it little and often making sure I get at least 10 minutes done.
Finding stretches I could do was hard as I cannot do floor exercises and bending over can cause dizzy spells to kick in. So what do I do?

They are easier than some I have found and I can do them so that for me is a bonus.
I have to find easy to do exercises so I do not end up falling over due to being dizzy, causing pain in my hips or lower back due to arthritis. Then there is what the family calls my 'wonky right arm'. I still cannot raise it above my head or put it behind my back, so some exercises are awkward but I do them to best of my ability. Breaking my humerus did it no favours and I am stuck with an arm that sort of works. It is a challenge that I work on every day and it is getting stronger I just cannot do things I can with my left arm.
So stretching with my right arm looks weird it is at about 80 degrees an odd angle but hey it is better than it was.
So stretching is being worked on this week along with my exercise routine.

    Good for you for making the best out of a difficult situation. Many of us have that "wonky" part of that body that makes it difficult to move a certain way. I certainly can relate with weird ribs after my oldest was born. Keep doing the best you can. Happy to know your arm is getting stronger and you aren't letting your difficulties get the best of you. Keep up the good work! emoticon
