Wasting Time...

Sunday, March 10, 2013

"Blog about the obvious (and not-so-obvious) ways you tend to waste time, and come up with a few healthier ways you can use that time to work toward your goals." ~ SparkCoach prompt...

How do I waste time?

1) TV - This can be a time waster for me. It's my relaxing time, but it tends to drag on a little long in the evening.

2) Computer - This is also a time waster for me. I need to do the necessity tasks and then get off.

I have some serious time management decisions to make soon. I am hoping to get a full time job, which will require me to work 9 hours a day with a 1 hour lunch and 30 minute drive time both ways. That is 10 hours of my day that will be gone. I'm going to need to take a inventory of my wants and needs and make some decisions.

TV is a huge waste of time. I also commute 1 hour each way to work and I listen to CD's to earn Continuing Education credits towards my securities and insurance licenses. That and talking to friends, family and clients by cell (hands free of course and never in a construction zone) is a good way to pass that time. Sometimes I do some neck and shoulder stretches just to relieve tension. If I'm not driving, sometimes I'll life and hold one leg at a time to strengthen those upper leg muscles. Otherwise, driving is a big waste of time.

I also have to admit I am a Sparkpoint junkie. While I know it's good to Spark daily, sometimes I wonder if I am spending too much time Sparking.
