SparkCoach instructed us to look at ourselves 10 years from now and have that person talk to our present selves. Interesting exercise.
Me in 10 years: I will be 70 and retired. I think I will still be living where I am. I believe that I will be active and involved in my community and church. I might be giving private art lessons and doing volunteer work. I would also be going to classes for various interests. I want to be a life-long learner.
I would tell my current self "thank you." Thank you for finally getting hold of yourself and doing something about your health. If you had not done that my 70-self might not be able to do much at all...or not even be here. I would tell my current self to keep at it and don't give up...to extend the energy to organizing and disciplining yourself in other parts of your life so your last years in this world can be more full and enjoyable.
March 13, 2013 - If I didn't have a scale, how would I determine I was at a good weight? It would have to be how I felt. Energy level would be one thing, as well as mobility and stamina. I would also be able to shop for clothes in the Misses section instead of the Women's section. I am really going to be excited when that happens.
June 17, 2013 - Spark Coach asked us to set long term goals for 1, 5, and 10 years. I thought I would add them here.
One year: I will have my house and classroom organized and de-cluttered. I will be at my goal weight and maintaining it.
Five years: I will be looking at retirement. I might possibly be retiring at this point. I will be maintaining my fitness level. I will be building my skills as an artist and musician. I think I might like to learn to play Tennis and take dance classes.
Ten Years: I will be 70. I would like to have my own art studio and offer lessons. I particularly am interested pottery. I want my own kiln and wheel. I would like to set up at crafts fairs and do some traveling.
