Love living in the city, it is the cardio workout of a lifetime..

Sunday, March 10, 2013

Dear Blog,
I have a feeling I will be changing my running shoes out more frequently now I have moved.. I bike down the mountain to work and at work, but it is all up hill push to return home. My work load is too heavy to walk it anymore so I bike around and now I have up qualified myself to take on more difficult jobs the bike ride helps blast out stress from the previous address..
I have dropped 1 kg since I don't have to take the bus anymore and with the weight training- well all good stuff..

My new gym is a 24 hour one, so I can get in a workout even if I have a packed day at work.. The equipment is more modern and gives less stress to my knees and hips- which is a plus..
Another good reason to never keep settling for the same old same old if a gym refuses stay up there with new technology.. I have never experienced at this gym anyone waiting on equipment- even if a middle of city gym..

A 24-hour gym! How wonderful! And good for you, Red, for making sure your gym accommodates your own fitness needs and requirements. emoticon

Glad to hear your move is bringing you good things. I would give anything to get off of this mountain and move to a city....even a town would be better than this barren wilderness!! I can't drive anymore, biking is out and even walking is very very tough on this mountainous terrain. My plan is to work back in to walking every day outside. I have the treadmill in my basement but that's just not the same. I also have a recumbent bike which is great for when I watch a DVD. I wish I could join a gym but I have no way of getting there. :(
