The challenges this week were:
Nutrition: Count your fiber each day (14g per 1000 calories eaten).
I regularly count my fiber intake and average 25-30 grams per day. I rarely get less, but sometimes get more (today was 38, for example).
Fitness: Take the stairs or hills as often as possible. Did you tackle every incline you encountered this week?
The only hills I encounter regularly are at school, and this week I went out of my way to park at the bottom of the hill and walk up it to class.
Motivation: Schedule at least 15 minutes per day of relaxing "me" time!
This was more difficult than I thought it would be. I have a big exam coming up, and finals are the 18th, so, on top of my always crazy life, I've been studying as much as possible (although I am no where near ready for my exams, so I need to do a better job this week!). I've been so darn tired this week that I seem to fall asleep anytime I'm not moving. But, I did get in some relaxation time! I read some, I watched tv some, and I napped some.
Bonus: Go outside and enjoy the outdoors. Did you post a blog about this?
Today I spent some time outside blowing bubbles with my niece and following my 17 month old nephew around as he enjoyed the sunshine. It wasn't warm by any means, but it was definitely sunny and it had me SO anxious for the summer!! My boys ran around outside and helped my grandpa work on his riding mower, and this evening they are so much more mellow than they've been in a long time. It was good for them to burn off some energy! It is amazing how much a little sunshine can really brighten your mood!!
